Analytical Services

Margal Environmental offer a range of analytical services, including:

Microbiological Analysis of domestic drinking water supplies, closed and open

systems, to assess the bacteriological status, including Legionella, and other micro-organisms corrosive to some systems like Sulphate Reducing Bacteria.

Microbiological

Analysis of domestic drinking water supplies, closed and open systems, to assess the bacteriological status, including Legionella, and other micro-organisms corrosive to some systems like Sulphate Reducing Bacteria. We can also identify organisms associated with operational difficulties of systems such as Psuedomonas. This type of monitoring can serve as an early warning system for the potential of premature system failure

Destructive and non-destructive Testing

Test to identify condition or assess possible reasons for failure such as microbiological corrosion, imperfections from manufacture or attack from external elements.

Organic Pollutants

Analysis of water to identify the presence of Solvents, Hydrocarbons, Styrene and other elements which may give rise to health considerations and poor taste quality.

Ingress Water

Analysis of unknown ingress water to identify the sources e.g. rain water, high water table or sewer.

Full Chemical Analysis:

Validation sampling of systems to identify their current chemistry state, monitoring corrosion levels, including installation of corrosion coupons. Unless system water chemistry is maintained, the system longevity and efficiency can soon be compromised.

Chemical Cleaning

Margal Environmental recognises the need for modern water systems to have the highest level of cleanliness prior to the commissioning and setting to work of the systems, with new fluid technology, and sensitive low flow plant items.

Commissioning Services

Commissioning of systems forms generally the last 5% of a project, however if this process is not completed accurately and methodically it will result in systems not performing within the specification requirements.
